The wire is relatively thin and easily connects to a power adapter. The power adapter is similar to a cell phone charger and simply plugs into a regular 110-volt outlet.
If it is not possible to drag the cable onto the other side of the wall or ceiling, you can also drag the cord near an outlet on the same side of the wall. This allows you to hide the cable so that it does not run along the wall and close to the power source.
Or another option is a backlit panel sign, where all the backlit letter wires are pre-passed through the back panel by the manufacturer, the backlit channel letters are mounted on the back panel and all the letter wires will be linked together behind the back panel.
Once the individual wires for each backlit channel letter are connected, there is only one cable left to plug into the power adapter to plug into the outlet.
